PeekAbode, Inc. ("PeekAbode," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
When you create an account, we collect your full name, email address, and password. If you sign up via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
Showing agents provide additional information including their real estate license number, state of licensure, phone number, and service areas. We verify this data to maintain platform quality.
We collect details about showing requests, bookings, payments, wallet balances, and agent earnings. Payment card and bank account information is processed and stored by our payment processor, Stripe — we never store full card numbers on our servers.
We automatically collect IP addresses, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, and interaction timestamps to improve our service and detect fraud.
Messages exchanged through the platform, support tickets, and feedback you provide are stored to facilitate service delivery and resolve disputes.
We use the information we collect to:
• Create, maintain, and secure your account • Match showing requests with available agents • Process payments and manage wallet balances • Send booking confirmations, reminders, and showing summaries • Verify agent licenses and maintain platform quality standards • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access • Improve our services through aggregated analytics • Communicate product updates and relevant promotions (you can opt out at any time)
When a showing is booked, the requesting agent and showing agent can see each other's name, profile photo, and relevant booking details (property address, date, time, access instructions). We never share your email or phone number with other users unless you choose to provide it.
We share data with trusted third parties that help us operate our platform, including Stripe (payments), Supabase (authentication and database), Vercel (hosting), and email/push notification providers. These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data.
We may disclose your information when required by law, in response to valid legal process, to protect the rights and safety of PeekAbode, our users, or the public, or to enforce our Terms of Service.
If PeekAbode is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), encrypted storage for sensitive data, role-based access controls, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial transaction records). Aggregated, de-identified data may be retained indefinitely for analytics.
You can access and download your personal data at any time from your account settings.
You can update your profile information directly in your dashboard. For license data changes, contact our support team.
You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at contact@peekabode.com. We will process your request within 30 days.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any promotional email. Transactional emails (booking confirmations, payment receipts) cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
You can manage push notification preferences in your account settings or through your browser/device settings.
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and maintain session state. We may also use analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics) to understand how our platform is used. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using certain features.
PeekAbode is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on our platform at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of PeekAbode after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
